Study Overview

The TRIlogy-5 Study is a Phase 3 study evaluating the safety and efficacy of an investigational medication in people whose multiple myeloma is not responding to their current medication(s) or has returned after they’ve received at least 1 to 3 prior lines of therapy. Participants in the study will receive either the investigational medication (Arm A) or a comparison medication (Arm B) for multiple myeloma.

Participants will be randomly assigned (like a flip of a coin) to 1 of the 2 study medication arms. Both you and the clinical staff will know which study medication you are receiving.

Study Goals

The goal of this study is to test how well the investigational medication works to stop or slow your multiple myeloma compared to a comparison medication.

About Multiple Myeloma

Multiple myeloma is a type of cancer that starts in the bone marrow, where blood cells are made. It happens when certain cells called plasma cells grow out of control. These cells can hurt your bones, kidneys, and blood.

What Will Happen in This Study?

If you are in Arm A, you will receive the investigational medication. If you are in Arm B, you will receive a comparison medication until your disease worsens or you can no longer tolerate the side effects.
The investigational medication and comparison medication are given in 28-day cycles. You will need to visit the study clinic from 1 to 5 times per 28-day cycle.

About the Investigational Medication (Arm A)

The investigational medication is called a "trispecific antibody" and works by attaching to T cells (a type of white blood cell) and 2 different cancer cell proteins on multiple myeloma cells. The clinical significance of the mechanism of action (MoA) is not yet established.
Antibodies that normally occur in the body work by attaching to the proteins that are foreign to your body, such as those found on viruses or bacteria, to help stop an infection.

About the Comparison Medication (Arm B)

The comparison medication is called a “bispecific antibody." This medication works by attaching to proteins on T cells and to proteins on multiple myeloma cells.1
Both study medications are given as injections under the skin.
